In todays lesson I have been working on my first draft of my magazine advert. I had previously decided that I wanted a landscape advert in order to make it stand out from other magazine adverts.
These are the steps I took in order to get to the stage I am at now:
1) Import the background image.
2) Find a font.
3) Add band and record label website.
4) Add Included Tracks.
5) Add star review.
At the end of this lesson this is what I had done. I then got some feedback from my classmates, teacher and focus group.
Feedback -
* I like the glittery background being out of focus because it looks very alternative which ties into your genre.
* I like the font for The Wombats because although its simplistic it is bold and stands out.
* The rating from the guardian makes it look more realistic as the guardian is a reliable source.
* The guardian is not the sort of newspaper that would review a indie song. So maybe get a review from a music magazine. Also the audience for the guardian is older than your target audience.
* The orientation would be better portrait as it would be less effort and easier to read.
