Day 1 -
- On the morning of filming day 1, my dad and I drove over to our friends house to collect the drum kit we had arranged to borrow for filming. After collecting this we continued on to collect Sav (The Singer) from his house.
- After arriving home Sav and I began to clear the room and set up ready for filming.
- Once the other band members had arrived at about 1pm, filming started.
- I took lots of shots from different angles and distances and some extra shots just in case. I took shots of the band as a whole as well as individual shots of the band members with their instruments.
- We finished filming just after 3pm and packed away all the equipment and put the room back together.
- I then retrieved all the footage off my camera and saved it to a folder on my computer so that it didn't get lost.
Day 2 -
- On filming day 2 I managed to get the shots of the glasses of pink lemonade before anyone arrived. This meant when they did arrive we could spend as much time as possible on getting the shots of them.
- Unfortunately on the day of filming my tripod broke. This meant I had to film all my shots free hand which caused some of them to be shaky.
- Once everyone had arrived we began filming. This was at about 1pm.
- The first shots I took were of the lemon being cut and squeezed. This was fairly quick to shoot and meant there was plenty of time for the other shots.
- The next shots I got were of Janni (the main male actor) with the glitter. To avoid making too much mess I placed bin bags on the floor. This helped collect up the glitter.
- The next shots I filmed was the argument scenes. Janni and myself stood behind the glass and shouted at each other to create a convincing scene. We took a few different takes in order to get a variety of shots.
- Lastly, the shots of the lemon sucking were filmed. We took a few different shots of this as it would be repeated throughout the video.
- We finished filming around 4:30pm.
Day 3 -
- On day 3 of filming it was just myself.
- I filmed all the extra shots that didn't require other people. This included the shots of the front and bedroom doors, the pouring of the drinks, the photographs, words spelt out in glitter, arrows, record player.
- The shots of me blowing the flour, drinking the gin and sugar on my tongue were filmed by my dad.
- These shots didn't take very long to film and I was able to film most of them unaided.
Bloopers Video -
These are some of the out-takes across both filming days. I have edited them together in Adobe Premiere Pro and used the song "Lets Dance to Joy Division" by "The Wombats" as the background music.
