Costume Research -

Male Character/ Boyfriend:

The boy will wear casual clothes as he is located at home through out the whole video. This is a common costume choice for many indie music videos as it is easy and low cost. He will be wearing more than one outfit throughout the video to signify a change in time. The first outfit he will be wearing is jeans and a plain white top with a black denim jacket over the top.  The second outfit he will be wearing is jeans, and plain grey hoodie. Lastly, he will be wearing jeans and a shirt to show he is trying to impress the new girls.

Cheating Girlfriend:

The cheating girlfriend will be in slightly more dressy, going out, clothes to suggest that she spends all her time partying and going out places. This is less common in indie music videos however in 'The Wombats' music video 'Tokyo' all the girls were dressed in dresses and heels to suggest that they were out partying. The use of this costume is also fitting to the song lyrics.

New Love Interest:

The new love interest will also be in casual clothes to suggest she has similar interests to the boy and that they are a perfect match for each other. She will wear blue jeans and a white and blue striped top. 

Band:

The band will be wearing casual clothes. They will all wear black trousers and a plain coloured top. This is in keeping with the indie genre as a whole but also the band itself uses this kind of costume in their previous music videos.
